My dear friend, Doug Minnerly, a retired Presbyterian minister, sometimes gets called back to the pulpit to preach, as he did last Sunday. His son, Nathan, a dear fellow who is on the spectrum and lives independently in a home near Doug and his wife’s place in Charleston WV, lights the candles for the service at Kanawha Presbyterian Church in West Virginia’s capital city — and then snuffs them out. Here is a precious moment captured between father and son as Sunday’s service concluded.
